As Google AdWords becomes more and more popular the advertising competition becomes more difficult to overcome. This is why its very important to take every advantage that you can so you can get a step ahead of your advertising competition and finally start beating AdWords and your competition.

Here’s some things you should know about your Google AdWords account to start beating and succeeding with AdWords:

  • Google AdWords only displays one advertisement per domain per keyword (this means no two advertisements can go to the same domain).
  • Google AdWords is all about relevancy. This means Exact Match keywords are displayed before Phrase Match keywords which are displayed before Broad Match keywords.
  • Advertisements containing more capitalized words always have a higher CTR rate.
  • Dynamic Keyword Insertion dramatically increases CTRs, but Dynamic Keyword Insertion doesn’t work on Contextual Advertisements.
  • If a keyword becomes “Inactive for Search” and you increase the bid without changing anything in the advertisement or landing page, expect your keyword to become inactive for search again. Don’t increase your inactive for search bids to activate your keywords unless you’ve changed something about your advertising to increase your keyword’s relevancy. At least change your text ad.
  • Don’t ever change your destination URL on any successful campaign or text ad. Changing your text ad will set your AdWords history back to 0 and you will lose everything you’ve put into that text advertisement.
The above tips will get you started on your way with succeeding with AdWords rather than letting Adwords beat you. Remember, setting up a profitable and stable AdWords account takes a lot of time to start, but once it becomes stable and you begin to see a profit you will be required to monitor your account less and less each time.

Increasing Your AdWords Google Profit – Free Tips

By Steven Holdaway. Posted in AdWords | No Comments »

It seems as if most people using Google AdWords don’t care much at all about their profit because everyday I see countless advertisers make very basic and careless mistakes that jeopardize their AdWords Google Profits. Below is a list of some tips for you to use to help increase your AdWords Google Profits, rather than giving your money away to Google.

  • Set a daily budget at your minimum profit margin and don’t increase it until you make a sale. Don’t start off with a $200 per day budget if you only get $20 per sale. Instead start with a $20 budget and work your way up.
  • Describe the product or service you’re selling as accurately as possible, this way you will clarify your product’s purpose to the visitors so you can prevent people from clicking on your advertisements who don’t want what you’re selling.
  • If you’re getting too many clicks and no sales, the problem is either with your text advertisement or your keywords. Assuming your keywords are relevant you will need to filter the non-buyers from the buyers with your text advertisement. To do this include the words “buy”, “order”, “purchase”, and/or your product’s price in your text advertisement. This will tell the web surfers that your product costs money and if they are looking for a free product not to click on your ad.
  • Don’t increase your bids on inactive keywords unless you’ve changed your text advertisement for landing page to increase the quality. If you increase your bids to activate your inactive keywords and you don’t change anything in your account to increase your quality, your once inactive keyword will become inactive again.
  • As a general rule, most internet products take about 100-200 clicks per sale. Find your maximum CPC using this information. If you make $20 per sale don’t bid more than $0.20 per click because your costs will exceed your profit if you don’t make a sale within 100 clicks.
The techniques above should drastically help to improve your profits with Google AdWords. Some of the tips will do this by preventing invalid or irrelevant clicks while the other techniques will decrease your costs by increasing your relevancy and quality within Google AdWords itself.

Finding the Best AdWords Google Guide

By Steven Holdaway. Posted in AdWords | No Comments »

Whether you’re promoting your own website with your own product or if you’re advertising someone else’s product as an affiliate marketer, it’s important that you know what you’re doing and how to advertise properly on AdWords.

Google AdWords has become more tricky and now it’s to the point where small mistakes made early in your campaign can severely affect your entire account’s performance. Most people are unaware of this, but for the advertisers that are aware it is best they correct their advertising mistakes and learn how to sharpen their AdWords account by finding a proper AdWords Google Guide.

Here’s what you should look for when searching for an AdWords Google Guide:

  • The author must have good credentials (so you know you can trust them)
  • They need to show sales proof (preferably video sales proof because screenshots and images can easily be edited, in fact 90% of the time if you look closely you can see parts of their proof that contradict each other ie. Sales number don’t add correctly or the dates are incorrect)
  • The AdWords Google Guide needs to have awesome support (no matter how good any AdWords Google Guide is, you’re going to have a question)
  • The AdWords Google Guide needs to be up to date (the market changes so fast that any guide that hasn’t been updated in the past 6 months is out of date)
  • So how do I know all of this information? I’ve personally purchased nearly 20 different AdWords Google Guides in my internet marketing career. Some of the guides were good, while others were extremely disappointing. When searching for an AdWords Google Guide research it before you purchase it. The best way to do this is to read reviews (don’t read the reviews in the paid listings in Google, they are usually fake) and email the author. If the author responds within 4 days I’d say that’s one of the AdWords Google Guides you should want to further pursue. Otherwise, move on because getting support and guidance is very important when it comes to advertising online.

    AdWords Bid Management Tips

By Steven Holdaway. Posted in AdWords | No Comments »

Although it seems as if Google AdWords is becoming more and more expensive by the day, there are many things you can do to help your AdWords bid management skills. Here’s a quick list of things to do to increase your AdWords bid management techniques to help you spend less money in advertising.

  • Use your daily budget. Most people want more traffic so they increase their daily budget. Yes, this will get you more traffic, but only set your daily budget to what you can afford. If you haven’t sold anything from your advertising, never increase your daily budget above $10.
  • Don’t bid on keywords you can’t afford. Just because your AdWords bid requires you to pay $0.50 or more to activate your keyword doesn’t mean you have to. Most products require 100-200 clicks to make a sale. Determine how much you can afford per keyword based on the number of clicks it takes to make a sale and never bid more than that.
  • Don’t pay more for keywords just to get a number 1,2 or 3 ad position. First page positions should always be your goal, but as long as your ad appears on the first page, you shouldn’t raise your bids. Even position 8.0 is desirable. If you increase your bids to get a number 1 rank you’re just spending more money. Use your text ads to get the clicks, not your ad’s position.
  • Play it smart. Don’t ever bid more than you can afford. I personally rarely bid more than $0.20 per click on any keyword. The less your AdWord bid is, the more profit you can make. Spending $0.50 per click means you have to make at least $50-100 per sale to make a profit.
Although most of these AdWords Bid Management tips seem like a no-brainer, you’d be surprised at the number of advertisers that pay ridiculous amounts of money when they don’t have to. Always remember it’s much easier to make a profit when you spend less in advertising.

I’ve currently been advertising on Google AdWords for more than seven years and am actually recognized as a Google Certified Advertising Professional. I have put all of the information I know about succeeding with Google AdWords into an online guide called Google Money Pro. Feel free to check my credentials or to email me (I will respond within 48 hours), just go to my website to do this.

    Free AdWords ClickBank Tips

By Steven Holdaway. Posted in AdWords, ClickBank | No Comments »

Combining AdWords and ClickBank correctly has the potential to make anyone a ton of money online. Unfortunately it’s very easy to make small mistakes costing you your profits with AdWords and ClickBank. Below are some tips to help make you more money with AdWords and ClickBank

  • Google will not display two advertisements for the same website even if two different affiliates are using the same keywords.
  • Use your hoplink as your destination URL and display the main domain as the Display URL, this way it doesn’t appear that your advertisement is from an affiliate and it looks more professional.
  • Increase your CTR by capitalizing the first letter of each word in your text advertisement.
  • If you use Dynamic Keyword Insertion, remember that it won’t work in the contextual network so always have two or more ads when using DKI.
  • The way ClickBank cookies work is the first cookies placed on the visitors computer is the affiliate that will get the sale. This means if someone clicks on two different affiliate links to go to the same product, the sale will go to the affiliate who was on the first link they clicked even if the visitor purchased the product from the second affiliate link.
  • Don’t display your advertisements world wide. Instead focus your advertisements only towards the countries that the product can be used in. For example, a Hummingbird book should only be sold in North America because it is the only place Hummingbirds naturally live.
  • The above AdWords ClickBank tips will help you to increase your sales and profits with Adwords and ClickBank. Just remember to check your AdWords account daily to make sure everything is running as smoothly as possible. Once you begin making a profit and your account is setup the way you won’t you will be able to go a couple weeks at a time without having to check your account.
