Well as many of you may already know, I’m a certified Advertising Professional by Google.  Unfortunately, to keep this certification, you have to take and re-take an advertising professional’s exam every two years.

This is my third time to take the exam in the past 4 years (as each exam expires after two years).  I’m happy to say that not only did I pass, but I did fairly well with a 94% score!

Passed the exam

Passed Google's Advertising Exam

For those who don’t know, here are some details about the exam:

  • It costs $50 to take, and if you fail it, you have to pay $50 again to re-take it
  • It’s 120 questions
  • You have 2 hours to complete the test
  • You take it online, but Google forces you to take it in a “Special Browser” that prevents you from surfing the web, reading files on your computer, or do anything but take the exam (this prevents people from cheating).
  • The exam covers every aspect of Google AdWords (which is a lot of stuff!)
  • You have to make 85% or higher to pass!  So if you make an 84%, you fail and have to re-take it.

Anyway, I’ve passed the exam the first time I took it every year I’ve taken it…so you can rest assured that I know my stuff!

So long story short, I’m now re-certified as an Advertising Professional for Google for another two years.

I’ve come to the conclusion that your account’s average quality score determines the total amount of traffic you receive in your campaigns/adgroups.  For exmaple, if you average all your keyword’s quality scores in your account and record the information each day for a week, you will notice that the days you receive the most traffic are the days your account’s average quality score is the highest.  Likewise, the days your account’s average quality score is the lowest are the days your account receives the least amount of traffic.

So, to dumb it down a bit…by pausing keywords with a lower quality score and adding keywords with a high quality score, your account will receive more traffic as a whole (just not on those keywords).

AdBreach Pre-Launch Has Started

By Steven Holdaway. Posted in AdBreach | No Comments »

After a heavy workload in the past 48 hours, I’m happy to announce that Google AdBreach is now complete and is available for pre-launch.  If you’re interested you can be a part of the pre-launch by going to www.AdBreach.com.

I’ll probably keep the pre-launch available until I can make sure everyone who wants to participate gets a chance.

Getting AdBreach Ready

By Steven Holdaway. Posted in AdBreach | No Comments »

Looks like a loooong night for me tonight.  I’m working hard to get everything ready for the VIP Google AdBreach launch tomorrow.  I’ve got nearly all the videos complete, but I keep on making changes and adding stuff which is taking longer.

I guess it’s good enough as it is now, but I want to make sure it meets and exceeds everyone’s expectations.

AdBreach will have a Pre-Release on February 23rd

By Steven Holdaway. Posted in AdBreach | 1 Comment »

Ok everyone, I’m going to do a specail pre-release for Google AdBreach to everyone who’s on my VIP list.  Pretty much the VIP list is everyone who’s signed up to receive more information about Google AdBreach at www.AdBreach.com.  If you want to be a part of the pre-release you can still sign up because I’m leaving the signup form up until this Saturday.

So why am i having a pre-release?  Well there’s a couple of reasons.  First, I feel that everyone who’s asked me for advice, purchased one of my products, or has shown an interest in what I do deserves the chance to use Google AdBreach before everyone else.  The second reason is because there are a lot of videos and I want these videos to load and download quickly on everyone’s computer so I figured that by letting you guys have first access, the videos will load the fastest and we won’t have any issues.  Whereas if I released adbreach to everyone on the same day, i could have 20-50 people were trying to watch the same video at the same time…which would take a while for it to download for everyone.  The last reason is because I feel that everyone who participates in the pre-release knows me a bit better than everyone else.  You know I try my hardest to keep everything up to date and answer everyone’s emails giving you the best advice that I can.  This means that I trust you more and feel that if there is a video that’s messed up or something you would let me know so I could fix it, rather than demanding a refund…or if you felt that I had done a good job, you may be nice enough to supply me with a testimonial :) .

Again, there’s still quite a bit of work left for me to do, so if you have any questions, please post a comment at the bottom of this article.

Here’s the list of video’s I’m planning on having available (please note that multiple subjects may be covered in the same video) :

Introduction – These videos are for newbies or beginners taking there first few steps in internet marketing

  • Setting up a clickbank account
  • Google account overview
  • What to expect and what you’re going to do
  • Recommended Resources and Tools

Intermediate - These videos are for people who are familiar with Google, but want to make sure they do everything correctly.

  • How to create an advertisement
  • Getting keywords
  • Writing text ads
  • Promoting the product
  • Getting conversion tracking

Advanced - These videos are for people who are already experienced with Google and want to start making their account better to receive more traffic

  • Finding your account quality score
  • What different quality scores mean
  • Moving keywords to more releavant adgroups
  • Moving poor quality keywords into their own adgroups
  • Writing good quality text ads
  • Removing irrelevant keywords Google’s displaying your ads on
  • Finding which text ads are giving you the best quality score
  • Removing and deleting low CTR text ads

Watch Me Flip an Unprofitable Account into a Profitable Account - I turn an account where most of the keyowrds have a quality score of 1/10 – 3/10 to an account which has mostly 7/10 and 10/10 quality keywords and is generating a profit.

  • 7 videos in this series

Raw video footage of me managing some of my client’s accounts - These are videos of myself where I am managing my client’s accounts on Google.  These videos are full length and do not have any cutting or editing in them, meaning you’ll watch me from the time I log in to the time I log out.  These are raw footage so the audio/narration is of myself making notes about the account, not me explaining what effects each change will cause (like i do in the other videos).

  • 7+ videos in this series

As far as cost goes, I’m probably going to give a lower price in the pre-release than i will in the final release.  Considering this has taken me 3 months to produce and hundreds of hours of editing and constructing, I’m not going to be giving it away for free (sorry guys).  But it will be cheaper than GMoneyPro.

Also, it would really mean a lot to me if you decide to try Google AdBreach out.  If you’re unsatisfied…no big deal I know everyone has different needs so just let me know and I will issue you a refund and I will try my best to make any changes to the program that you didn’t like so it will be better for everyone else.

For those who do try AdBreach out, if you like it please send me a testimonial.  I love receiving testimonials as it lets me know that all my hard work and effort has paid off :) .

Again, feel free to leave any comments using the comment box below.  You don’t have to signup or anything, so you can leave an anonymous one if you like.  It may take 5-15 minutes for your comment to be displayed because it needs to be approved first.

Finishing Up AdBreach

By Steven Holdaway. Posted in AdBreach | No Comments »

Hey everyone, just wanted to drop a quick note that I do plan on finishing my new project AdBreach www.AdBreach.com by next week.  I’ve got most of the vidoes finished, and now I’m working on creating mini-tutorials with some of the videos I’ve already recorded.  Anyway there’s going to be quite a view videos so I’m feeling pretty confident taht everyone will be able to find something new that will help them out a lot with making money with Google through some of the videos.

I’ll probably post the titles/subjects of some of the videos later today to see what everyone’s opinion is.

I’ve finally finished my new blog, which i feel will bring me closer to everyone who follows what i do every day.   My old blog was so 2004, so i feel this new design should help make it easier for me to not only make more frequent posts, but also keep everyone informed on new products, tips, and strategies for making money online!

Switching All Videos to YouTube

By Steven Holdaway. Posted in Personal | No Comments »

Well, I think I will go with the trend and will put all the videos I have with internet marketing into YouTube format.  Not only does this make it easier for me (uses less of my website’s resources), but I feel this will help other people out as well because most people are more familiar with YouTube and it’s easier to make comments.

So expect to see some more videos added to my blog over the next few days.  I am having to reconvert them into HD format to keep the quality high (for some reason YouTube highly compresses everything that’s not HD making my original videos poor quality) so the quality will be better than they were before.

Video: Perfecting ClickBank Affiliate URLs

By Steven Holdaway. Posted in AdWords, ClickBank, Videos | No Comments »

This is a video I found on my computer today that i forgot to upload in the past.  Even though it’s a bit old, everything in it is still accurate (eventhough some of the pages have changed in appearance in Google and ClickBank).  Basically the video shows you how to add the correct URL to Google AdWords and how to make sure you’re getting credit for all your sales.

Made It into the ClickBank 100 Again!

By Steven Holdaway. Posted in ClickBank, Personal | 2 Comments »

Just received an email from Terra Goeres (ClickBank’s Client Development manager) informing me that I made it into ClickBank’s Premeir Elite for 2010.  Basically, this means that ClickBank added up the sales figures for everyone in ClickBank over the past year and the amount they came up with for me was high enough to rank me in the top 100 of everyone in ClickBank.  Unfortunately, they don’t tell me my rank and they don’t tell me how much I sold (although i can figure this out) so there’s not much i can go on to say how much was required to get in the top 100 for 2010.

Anyway, you get a few perks such as an account manager and faster product approvals/customer service as well as a certificate they mail to you sometime late in February. So I’m looking forward to that.  I’ll post a picture of it when I receive it.

I’m looking forward to helping some of you to get into the ClickBank 100 very soon!
