I’m sure some of you have heard about the large storms that produced tornadoes across the south east on 4/27. Unfortunately, I live right in the middle of where the tornadoes hit (I live 10 miles away from Chattanooga, TN). But lucky my friends and family are all unharmed from the storms.
The storms started at 9:00 AM and knocked several trees over and cut power to 90,000 homes in the region. The storms came and went throughout the day with the strongest storms being between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM, which are what is pictured below. The largest storm contained an EF4 tornado with winds reported at 190mph and came within 2-3 miles of my home. These storms have already claimed 76 lives in my region and has destroyed several homes and if you feel like donating a few dollars to help it would be greatly appreciated.
Again, any donation will be greatly appreciated by my community and myself. In fact I will give anyone who makes a $10 or higher donation to the Greater Chattanooga Chapter (in the link above) free immediate access to the new version of GMoneyPro. Just email me (support @ gmoneypro.com) proof of your donation and I will setup your GMoneyPro account immediately for free.
Below are some pictures around where I live that some of my friends took of the storm:
Ok, first I’m going to apologize about the repeated delay in releasing the updated GMoneyPro.
You see, Google has dramatically change a lot of foreground settings (appearance, tools, etc.) as well as background settings (the way things work) since I first started the update. Anyway, I feel that Google has stopped making these changes and it is safe for me to release the updated version of GMoneyPro without it having sections in it that are no longer valid.
This new version of GMoneyPro is completely updated! Basically, I’ve sat down and re-wrote the entire thing, so there are massive changes to the everything within the guide. I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised at how easy I’ve made some of these strategies. If you can follow these step by step instructions you won’t have anything else than success (or at least that’s how I feel). Not only have I re-written the entire program, but I’ve also spent countless hours in the AdWords forums seeing what others are having trouble with and have worked in the solutions to their issues into the new strategies.
Anyway, the new GMoneyPro will also have a lot more content then the old versions. I’m still working on it and will be finished with it soon, but as of now the table of contents section is 4 pages long (so yeah there’s going to be a lot more information). When GMoneyPro is released it will be without doubt the most comprehensive up-to-date detailed guide on Google AdWords available. So don’t miss out on this. And as always, if you’ve ever purchased GMoneyPro in the past (even if you purchased it over 3 years ago when it was Google Money Pro), you will get this new version absolutely free.
I’ve always known that Google has an official AdWords forum, and I wanted to use it a year or so ago, but I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to get Google to display my AdWords Advertising Professional status beneath my username…which was frustrating because they did this for other posters. So I gave up with the idea and ignored the forum.
Anyway earlier this month I noticed that they stopped labeling people as “Advertising Professionals” and have gone strictly to an experience level program. Everyone starts off at level 1, but the more information you share and the more questions you answer, the higher your level becomes. This has intrigued me because, as you can imagine, your AdWords experience is generally reflected by your experience level. Everyone starts off at Level 1, and you can advance all the way to Level 20 and if your answers are helpful enough you become considered as a “Top Contributor”.
And since I have a guide out on how to achieve success with AdWords, it’s not very professional of me to go around with an experience level of 1. So I’m seeing if I can get to Level 6 by New Years. To make this more interesting, I’m going to make a bet that if I cannot get to level 6 experience by New Years, I’ll give anyone who brings this up a free copy of GMoneyPro (until I reach level 6). So if New Years comes around and I’m not level 6, email me and I’ll send you a free version of GMoneyPro. If you already have GMoneyPro, let me know and I’ll send you something else (like a free chat session with myself).
I’m currently at Level 4, so you may be thinking I’ll reach Level 6 in no time…but it takes as much effort to go from level 4 to level 5 as it did for me to go from level 1 to level 4! And getting to level 6 requires even more effort!
Google retired the “Qualified Advertising Professional” status on October 31st and replaced it with Individual Qualified and Google Certified Partner.
To become Individually Qualified, you must:
Pass an AdWords Fundamentals exam with at least a score of 85% or higher
Pass an Advanced advertising exam (there are three you can choose from) with a score of at least 80%, 75%, or 70% or higher depending on the exam you take.
To become a Google Certified Partner you must:
Be Individually Qualified
Spend at least $10,000 or more in advertising on AdWords over the past 90 days
So, now that these new rules are in place, I am now considered a Google Certified Partner. For those of you who are wondering, I scored a 94% and a 90% on the exams I took.
Yesterday morning I noticed that one of my campaigns took a severe dive in Quality Score. This campaign had been running well for nearly three years and had 100-200 keywords that were 10/10 quality score.
So imagine my surprise when I noticed it didn’t receive any traffic over the weekend. When I looked into it I noticed that all of my keywords were a 1/10 quality score. Anyone who’s fairly experienced with Google AdWords will tell you that a 1/10 quality score means your site is breaking one of Google’s policies. Knowing that this site wasn’t breaking any policies (since it had been running for 30+ months without any problems) I contacted Google and they told me someone would review my account.
Normally when you contact Google because of a drop in quality score, they usually send you an email saying “Our review staff has indicated that there is no problem with your account and the drop in quality score is justifiable…”. But this time, I got a different response:
Whoops, Google Made a Mistake
Anyway, when I read the email, two things came to my mind:
Thank goodness I wasn’t out of town.
This site is on a private server that never goes down!?
Luckily, I have an account with Pingdom where they check all my sites every minute each day to make sure they’re not down. So I decided to check the uptime report of that particular website for this month.
Yup, just as I had expected. The website was up 100% of the time, meaning Google simply made a mistake. Oh well, nobody’s perfect.
Over the weekend I took a quick snow skiing vacation to Washington State (USA). After three days of skiing I am not only tired but a bit behind in my work. I’m planning on catching up on all the emails and other things I need to do by tomorrow so if anyone’s sent me an email and hasn’t received a reply yet, it’s because I’m a bit behind .
Well as many of you may already know, I’m a certified Advertising Professional by Google. Unfortunately, to keep this certification, you have to take and re-take an advertising professional’s exam every two years.
This is my third time to take the exam in the past 4 years (as each exam expires after two years). I’m happy to say that not only did I pass, but I did fairly well with a 94% score!
Passed Google's Advertising Exam
For those who don’t know, here are some details about the exam:
It costs $50 to take, and if you fail it, you have to pay $50 again to re-take it
It’s 120 questions
You have 2 hours to complete the test
You take it online, but Google forces you to take it in a “Special Browser” that prevents you from surfing the web, reading files on your computer, or do anything but take the exam (this prevents people from cheating).
The exam covers every aspect of Google AdWords (which is a lot of stuff!)
You have to make 85% or higher to pass! So if you make an 84%, you fail and have to re-take it.
Anyway, I’ve passed the exam the first time I took it every year I’ve taken it…so you can rest assured that I know my stuff!
So long story short, I’m now re-certified as an Advertising Professional for Google for another two years.
I’ve finally finished my new blog, which i feel will bring me closer to everyone who follows what i do every day. My old blog was so 2004, so i feel this new design should help make it easier for me to not only make more frequent posts, but also keep everyone informed on new products, tips, and strategies for making money online!
Well, I think I will go with the trend and will put all the videos I have with internet marketing into YouTube format. Not only does this make it easier for me (uses less of my website’s resources), but I feel this will help other people out as well because most people are more familiar with YouTube and it’s easier to make comments.
So expect to see some more videos added to my blog over the next few days. I am having to reconvert them into HD format to keep the quality high (for some reason YouTube highly compresses everything that’s not HD making my original videos poor quality) so the quality will be better than they were before.
Just received an email from Terra Goeres (ClickBank’s Client Development manager) informing me that I made it into ClickBank’s Premeir Elite for 2010. Basically, this means that ClickBank added up the sales figures for everyone in ClickBank over the past year and the amount they came up with for me was high enough to rank me in the top 100 of everyone in ClickBank. Unfortunately, they don’t tell me my rank and they don’t tell me how much I sold (although i can figure this out) so there’s not much i can go on to say how much was required to get in the top 100 for 2010.
Anyway, you get a few perks such as an account manager and faster product approvals/customer service as well as a certificate they mail to you sometime late in February. So I’m looking forward to that. I’ll post a picture of it when I receive it.
I’m looking forward to helping some of you to get into the ClickBank 100 very soon!
